Grasscycling is as easy as leaving the grass clippings on your lawn after cutting the grass! This makes for an easy way to add moisture and nitrogen to your lawn. Recycling grass clippings throughout the season provides enough nutrients to eliminate one fertilizer application. This greatly reduces the amount of chemical runoff that enters lakes, rivers, and streams.

To grasscycle, cut your lawn with a mulching blade or a regular lawnmower. If you use a regular lawnmower blade, consider cutting your lawn before the grass gets too long. This will result in shorter clippings that can fall between the grass blades. You can use this same process to recycle leaves into your lawn!
